Setting up Sidekick is quick and straightforward.
First, you'll need Claude Desktop — Anthropic's free app that runs Claude on your computer. Download it here.
Get the Sidekick plugin from Adobe Exchange. It adds a small panel to InDesign that connects to Claude.
Adobe ExchangeDownload the extension and double-click to install. Now Claude is able to talk to InDesign.
Install ExtensionOpen Claude Desktop and InDesign, then just ask: "Help me fix the spacing on page 3" or "Make all my headings blue."
Anything you can do in InDesign, you can ask Claude to help with.
