This is how you install it:

1. Run the installer

Double-click the downloaded installer and follow the standard installation procedure for your platform.

2. Verify installation

Open a terminal and run the command to see available options:

❯ indesign-sidekick

USAGE
  $ indesign-sidekick [COMMAND]

COMMANDS
  register    Register Sidekick with Claude Desktop
  start       Start the InDesign MCP server
  unregister  Unregister Sidekick from Claude Desktop

3. Register with Claude Desktop

Run the following command in your terminal to register Sidekick with Claude Desktop:

indesign-sidekick register

This automatically adds Sidekick to Claude's configuration file so you don't have to edit it manually.
